Voltages around any loop add to zero – energy conservation in action!
Go around a loop: rises and drops cancel out. Sum V = 0
V1 + V2 + V3... = 0 (rise +, drop -)
1. Find loops.
2. Assume currents.
3. Sum voltages = 0.
4. Crunch numbers.
12V battery, 4Ω & 2Ω drops: 12 - 4I - 2I = 0 → I=2A!
